Identifying your first real customer (not "everyone")
About — Khushkool Khosla
I help early-stage founders get their first paying customers.
Startup growth consultant based in Dubai — working with founders globally to build customer clarity, positioning, and early traction.
Most early-stage businesses don't struggle because they can't scale. They struggle because they never truly start.
Founders have ideas, effort, content, and conversations — but no clear answer to:
Who is my real customer?
Why should they buy from me?
How do I consistently get people to pay?
That's the stage I work in. →
How I Got Here
I spent over 7 years in advertising and growth leadership, most recently as a VP at a leading Indian agency, working on brand strategy, digital transformation, and growth systems for companies across industries.
On paper, everything looked solid.
In reality, what I saw again and again — especially with early-stage brands and startups — was this:
Strategy existed.
Execution existed.
Customers didn't.
Founders were doing too much, too early, without validating the basics — customer clarity, messaging, and product-market fit.
That's when I shifted my focus.
Today, I work directly with early-stage founders and small teams to help them get their first paying customers — before scaling, before hiring big teams, before burning money on ads. Based in Dubai, I work with founders globally.
What I Actually Help With
I specialise in the messy beginning — where customer clarity matters more than complexity.
Clarifying your positioning — what you're selling and why it matters
Fixing messaging so people understand your value and say yes
Building a simple, repeatable customer acquisition process
Turning conversations, outreach, and founder-led sales into actual revenue
No hype. No premature scaling. No bloated go-to-market strategies.
Just focused work that leads to traction.
My Approach to Startup Growth
I don't believe in teaching growth without practicing it.
I work hands-on, collaboratively, and practically — helping founders move from:
Before
"I think this could work"
After
"People are paying for this."
Behind the scenes, I use a structured framework (often referred to as the First 100 Customers phase) — but what founders experience is clarity, momentum, and confidence to move forward with product-market fit.
Who I Work With
I work best with
· Early-stage founders looking for their first customers
· New brands and solo founders in the pre-revenue stage
· Small teams building a startup from scratch
· Founders stuck between effort and traction
I'm not the right fit if
· You're chasing vanity metrics over real revenue
· You want shortcuts or growth hacks
· You're focused on scaling before customer validation
Content & Building in Public
Alongside consulting, I document my thinking and experiments through content — sharing what I'm testing, learning, and refining in real time about customer acquisition and startup growth.
Not as theory. As practice.
Because clarity comes faster when work is visible.
